Class Guidelines

We're so excited to welcome you into the studio!

Please take a moment to read the class guidelines below so you can get the very best from your CCD experience. We are proud to maintain the inclusive, supportive and professional standard that has defined our community since 2024.

Choosing the Right Level

Please book the class that best matches your current ability, training history and physical capability. Training at the right level helps you — and everyone around you — grow safely and confidently.

If you’re ever unsure which class is right for you, just ask. We’re always happy to guide you.

Beginner/Improver - A mixed-level class perfect for beginners, those returning to dance, or anyone with some previous experience who wants to build confidence and technique.

Intermediate/Advanced - A higher level class for experienced dancers who have a solid foundation in dance technique and are ready to be challenged in a supportive environment.

Upon Arrival

Please arrive at least 5 minutes early and wait outside the studio to be welcomed into class.

All of our studios have parking, but may require a short walk so be sure to allow time for this.

Due to the increased risk of injury, if you are late and arrive after the warm up, you won't be able to take part in the class.

Dress Code

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, confident and free to move.

Please tie long hair back (learned from personal experience — it makes a difference!). For safety reasons, socks and jewellery aren’t permitted in class, as they can increase the risk of injury.

Personal Belongings

Each studio will have a designated area for bags and belongings. Where possible, please only bring valuables into the studio.

To keep the dance space clear and safe, all belongings must be kept off the floor. We also kindly ask that shoes are clean before entering the studio.

Phones in the Studio

You’re welcome to have your phone with you. If you need to take a call or send messages during class, we kindly ask that you step outside to do so — this helps us protect the focus and energy of the room for everyone.

At the end of each class, we allow time for group filming — whether for social media, personal progress, or keeping a record of choreography. Please ensure you have selected your consent preference on your booking form. We will also confirm verbal consent on the day to ensure everyone feels comfortable.

Filming in Class

At the end of each class, we allow time for group filming — whether for social media, tracking your progress, or keeping a record of choreography.

Please make sure you’ve selected your consent preference on your booking form. We’ll also confirm verbal consent on the day so everyone feels completely comfortable.

If you’re filming your own video, we kindly ask that you check with the dancers around you to make sure they’re happy to be included.

Supportive Community

CCD is more than just a class — it’s a space to connect, grow and enjoy dancing together.

We encourage:

  • Kindness and mutual respect

  • Bringing positive energy into the room

  • Cheering each other on

  • Staying present so everyone can get the most from the class

Every dancer contributes to the atmosphere in the studio. By supporting one another and approaching class with an open and encouraging mindset, we create a space that feels welcoming, relaxed and uplifting for all.
